Having grown up in Sydney’s west, I moved to the beautiful Sutherland Shire in 1997 when I married my wife Leanne and we have lived in Loftus ever since.
I was always active as a child, spending all of my spare time outdoors either playing sport or swimming at the beach or at our family holiday spot on the NSW mid-north coast. I later combined this active lifestyle and my passion for sport and fitness by becoming a Rugby League Referee, refereeing in the Parramatta and Cronulla district competitions for 18 years. For 4 years I was also a member of the inter-district representative squad as a touch judge where I officiated in two junior representative grand finals.
I had a successful career in the finance industry for more than 20 years, where my desire to help others saw me concentrate on roles helping individuals improve their financial well-being. Having seen some members of my family struggle with weight issues as well as experiencing first-hand the impact that working a busy job can have on stress and health, I decided to embark on a new career helping people rediscover fitness and with it a healthier lifestyle. Disillusioned by the number of fitness clubs promoting “6-week body transformations” or “get your bikini body in 8-weeks”, I founded Be Your Best Health and Fitness in 2016 with a view to providing personalised and sustainable fitness solutions tailored to help people become the best versions of themselves.
I have a certificate III and IV in Fitness from iPT Australia, one of the leading educators of fitness professionals in the Australia and New Zealand region.
Besides fitness and sports, my other interests are travel, photography and spending time with my wife and young daughter.
Even those with similar goals may have different preferences as to how, where and when they want to achieve those goals. While some people may love nothing more than to do a few good push ups (or 50), not everyone wants to do push ups and not everyone can actually physically do a push up without causing injury.
We do not believe in short term body transformations or fad diets that all too often prove to be at best short term fixes. We do not try to make you into someone or something you are not. Not everyone wants a bikini body or a six pack and nor are these realistic goals for everyone.
Rather, at Be Your Best Health and Fitness we embrace that everyone is different. As our name suggests, our philosophy is simple: to partner with you to help you become the best version of yourself through fitness training that is specifically designed for YOU.
